Participation in a panel discussion within the dialogue platform “University_Is_People” (04.06.2026, Lviv)
On June 4, 2026, Svitlana KALASHNIKOVA, Member of the Erasmus+ Higher Education Reform Experts Team (HERE team) and Coordinator of the National Support Office for eTwinning – Ukraine, participated in the dialogue platform “University_Is_People”, organised by the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance at Lviv Polytechnic National University.
The event brought together around 400 participants representing 118 higher education institutions from across Ukraine. The platform served as a space for discussing current challenges in university management, human capital development, quality assurance in higher education, and strengthening the institutional capacity of higher education institutions.
The programme included thematic discussions on people-centred university governance, recruitment and staff evaluation policies, modernisation of qualification assessment criteria for academic staff, and the development of support, motivation, and professional development systems for university teams.
Svitlana KALASHNIKOVA, Member of the Erasmus+ Higher Education Reform Experts Team (HERE team) and Coordinator of the National Support Office for eTwinning – Ukraine, contributed to the panel discussion “Motivation, Support, Learning – Does a Higher Education Institution Really Influence the Quality of Its Team?”. The discussion focused on professional development opportunities for university staff, internal training systems, support mechanisms for academic personnel in times of crisis, and approaches to creating an effective educational environment.
Particular attention was paid to the role of university leadership in developing human potential, the importance of continuous professional learning, and the creation of conditions that enable both individual and collective growth within higher education institutions. Participants emphasised that effective communication, staff support, and investment in team development are essential factors for ensuring quality education and enhancing university competitiveness.
The dialogue platform provided an important opportunity for representatives of higher education institutions, experts, and stakeholders to exchange experiences and discuss effective approaches to the development of modern universities in the context of ongoing societal transformations.
