Participation in the International Conference “Education, training and inclusion: transformation during crises” (15-16.09.2022, online)
On 15-16 September 2022, the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine joined International Conference “Education, training and inclusion: transformation during crises” organized physically at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University with online streaming.
The event took place within the framework of Ukraine’s chairmanship of the European Union Strategy for the Danube Region in 2022. The following key speakers joined the welcomed participants: Igor KORKHOVYI, National Coordinator of Ukraine in the EUSDR, Deputy Minister of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine for European Integration; Oleksiy SHKURATOV, Deputy Minister of Education and Science for European Integration; Hanna PROROK, Deputy Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine for European Integration; Johan MAGNUSSON, DG Regio, European Commision; Benjamin BOBBE, Regional representative of the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova and Romania; Ihor TSEPENDA, Rector of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.
During the 1st panel session participants discussed: Transformation of vocational education during the war; Changes in the legislation of Ukraine regarding vocational education; Creation of inclusive products, best practices; Digital and green transformations (digital and green transitions) of professional education and adaptation to EU standards; Ensuring spatial inclusion in vocational education institutions; Training of the adult population with the aim of ensuring equal access to labour markets for all social groups; Promoting the development of youth and social entrepreneurship.
During the 2nd panel session participants listened to the following presentations: Social inclusion and adaptation in the conditions of war; Social innovation and social partnership; Work programmes with refugees from Ukraine in the EU countries, adaptation, and training; Inclusion caused by war: psychological rehabilitation, social adaptation, career counselling, personal and professional development; Implementation of modern European practices of inclusive and productive employment of persons with disabilities into national legislation.
Zhanna TALANOVA, NEO – Ukraine, participated and provided presentation via session on sectoral financial instruments, programs, and projects. Speaker presented opportunities of the EUs Erasmus+ Programme for Ukrainian institutions; EU support for Ukraine during the war; and issues of inclusion within Erasmus+ projects. Speaker also emphasized the new opportunities for the HE and VET that opens new horizons for international cooperation and the establishment of new fruitful contacts and joint projects.
