Participation in the round table «Social entrepreneurship and traditional forms of business in the EU: experience for of Ukraine» (21.09.2023, online)
On September 21, 2023, the Zaporizhzhia National University (ZNU) invited representatives of economics, business and management, state authorities, public organizations, scientists, educators, education seekers and other interested parties to the round table «Social entrepreneurship and traditional forms of business in the EU: experience for of Ukraine». The event took place within the framework of the European Union Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Program project «European practices of social entrepreneurship: sustainability, inclusion and creativity».
The round table was organized by Zaporizhzhia National University with the participation of A.S. Makarenko Sumy State Pedagogical University, Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University and with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, Zaporizhzhia Chamber of Commerce and Industry , public organizations “Divosvit”, Mobile Hub Zaporizhzhia at YMCA Europe, “Light of Hope”, Trade Mark “Banana Saver”, BF “Future Generation” and others.
The event was attended by more than 90 participants – representatives of the economy, business and management, state authorities, public organizations, scientists, educators, education seekers and other interested persons from various cities of Ukraine: Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Sumy, Kryvyi Rih, Dnipro, Odesa, Khmelnytskyi, Lutsk, Mykolaiv, Uman and other countries, including the USA.
NEO – Ukraine Coordinator, Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, in her welcoming speech, emphasized on the main priorities during the project implementation with a focus on overcoming the challenges and consequences of war; importance of modern and innovative content, methodologies, resources and results, as well as inclusiveness and the use of digital and green technologies.
During the event, presentations were made by Anna PEREVERZIEVA, professor of the Department of International Economy, Natural Resources and Economics, coordinator of the EUROSECRET project, ZNU; Alyona GORBENKO, regional coordinator of the YMCA of the Zaporizhzhia region; Maksym KRAVCHUK, founder of the “Generation of the Future” BF (Zaporizhzhia); Iryna OSTAPCHUK, Associate Professor of the Department of Tourism and Economics of Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University; Oksana ANTOLIK, head of NGO “Light of Hope”; Mary JO STEYER HARRIS, President, Banana Saver; Natalya VENGERSKA, Associate Professor of the Department of International Economy, Natural Resources and Economics of International Tourism of ZNU; Oleh MASYUK, professor of the Department of Social Philosophy and Management of ZNU and others. Speakers focused on such topical issues as: integration of social entrepreneurship into partnership and creation of a value chain of traditional business, features of socially active business, etc. During the event, the participants got acquainted with the practical experience of implementing social initiatives and learned about the possibilities of implementing social business in the national economy based on positive European experience.
