Participation in the Summit 2024, organised by NGO “Progresylni” (07.12.2024, Kyiv)
On 7 December 2024, the team of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine participated in the Summit 2024, organised by the NGO “Progresylni”.
The event gathered 200 offline and 49 online participants.
During the first panel of the Summit, the following distinguished guests delivered their speeches:
- Oleksandr KHYMENKO, Head of the Secretariat of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance;
- Viktor YEVPOKIMOV, Rector of Zhytomyr State University of Technology;
- Alisa SUKHIKH, Deputy Chair of the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine;
- Kyrylo DEMCHENKO, Supervisor of the Expert Council on Student Affairs of Higher Education Institutions, Co-founder of the NGO “Ukrainian Student League,” and Youth Delegate of Ukraine to the UN for 2023-2024.
The discussion during this panel focused on the theme: “Education Under Threat: How to Find Balance and Stability?”
The second panel, titled “Overcoming Educational Losses through Collective Action: What is the Role of International Partners?” featured the following speakers:
- Artem SHAIPOV, Legal Advisor for the USAID “Justice for All” Programme, who shared insights on how legal mechanisms and international assistance are contributing to the restoration of educational opportunities;
- Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, who presented how European programmes, particularly the Erasmus+ Programme, are creating new opportunities and horizons for Ukrainian educators;
- Atony BEUMER, one of the leading experts on the use of the Internet in the public sector, focusing on politics, media, government, and civic engagement;
- Phil NOBLE, Coordinator of the S&D Group Platform at the European Parliament in Brussels.
This event provided a significant platform for discussing pressing challenges in education and exploring collaborative opportunities among international partners and key stakeholders.
