Participation in the summit of professional fundraisers “Helpers of Heroes” (12.09.2024, Kyiv)
On 12 September 2024, the team of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine took part in the summit of professional fundraisers “Helpers of Heroes”, held in Kyiv. The event was organised by ISAR Ednannia and brought together approximately one thousand representatives of charitable organisations and volunteer initiatives from Ukraine.
Key representatives of public and international organisations participated in the event, including the Office of the President of Ukraine, USAID Ukraine, the International Renaissance Foundation, and the European Endowment For Democracy.
Svitlana PUGACH, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Tabletochki, shared her experience in mobilising resources abroad, while Liera TATARCHUK, founder of the Tvoja Opora initiative, presented effective strategies for attracting support from businesses and prominent individuals to fund social projects.
During the summit, the book Helpers of Heroes: Stories of Ukrainian Fundraising in Times of War by ISAR Ednannia was presented. Panel discussions focused on critical issues such as resource mobilisation, effective communication with donors, and the development of successful fundraising strategies.
Over 30 speakers shared their insights on the key aspects of modern fundraising in Ukraine during the summit. Additionally, ISAR Ednannia presented its research covering the activities of donor and international organisations in Ukraine from 2022 to 2024.
Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, also joined the event to highlight key aspects of cooperation under the Erasmus+ programme and its opportunities to support Ukrainian educational initiatives. The participation of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine in the summit underscores the importance of international cooperation, experience exchange, and collaborative efforts in addressing social and educational challenges during times of crisis.
The summit proved to be an important platform for discussing pathways to support strategic philanthropy and effective mechanisms for collaboration between international partners and Ukrainian institutions.
