Presentation of Erasmus+ within the Forum for Youth and Youth Workers (01.12.2023, Kyiv)

On December 1, 2023, the National Erasmus+ office in Ukraine joined the Seventh All-Ukrainian Forum of Youth Workers, which took place offline in Kyiv. The forum was organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, All-Ukrainian Youth Center, Association of Youth Workers of Ukraine in cooperation with the United Nations Program in Ukraine, the USAID Program “Decentralization Brings Better Results and Efficiency” (DOBRE) with the financial support of the Governments of Denmark and Japan, the United States Agency for International Development. About 200 participants representing active students and youth organizations from different cities of Ukraine joined the event.

During the Forum covered the following questions:

  • Place and mission of youth work under martial law
  • What does it mean to be Ukrainian? Youth as the main “carrier” of Ukrainian national identity
  • The role of youth in the restoration of the country

In the second part of the Forum, the organizers held a Fair of opportunities for youth and youth workers. During the Fair, Kateryna ZHDANOVA, manager of NEO – Ukraine, presented the opportunities of the Erasmus+ Programme in the field of youth and sports, key actions and priorities, first steps for newcomers and calls in 2024. Speaker presented individual opportunities for young people and youth workers and opportunities for youth organizations to cooperate with partners from the EU and other countries of the world. During the consultations, clear recommendations regarding the search for opportunities, features of exchanges, requirements for consortiums, project proposals preparation and expected results were given.
