Update of the “National Educational Glossary: Higher Education” 2024

National Higher Education Reform Experts Team (HERE team) of the EU Erasmus+ Programme, in collaboration with the Institute of Higher Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, and with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, have completed the revision and enhancement of the educational-reference publication “National Educational Glossary: Higher Education”. The update reflects changes from 2021 to 2024 following the third edition, particularly the modernization of the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education” (2014–2024) and materials from the 2024 Tirana Ministerial Conference of the European Higher Education Area.

We encourage the use of the conceptual and terminological framework provided in the Glossary. It includes expert translations of English terms and concepts into Ukrainian and vice versa, widely used by the international, European, and Ukrainian professional communities, and standardized by Ukrainian legislation and international documents. The structure of the entries includes term definitions, essential characteristics, and contextual applications.
