Who gets to study in Europe this autumn? European Commission announces this year’s Erasmus+: Erasmus Mundus Joint Programmes Selection Results (31/05/2016)
Directorate General for Education and Culture of the European Commission announced the selection result of this year’s Erasmus+: Erasmus Mundus Programs. Altogether, 68 students will get new scholarship or their studies will be extended with this decision.
36 graduate Ukrainian students have been individually granted with enrolment in the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Master Course (EMMC) and Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (EMJMD) into the European Universities. Four Ukrainian post-graduate students are awarded the Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorates (EMJD) scholarships.
Based on the Masters’ and Doctorates’ Programmes selection results, the Ukrainian students will start this autumn their studies at Austrian, Dutch, UK, Spanish, French, Italian, Belgium, Germany’s, Swedish and Portuguese universities.
Apart from the new Erasmus students, 28 current Ukrainian students who won their scholarships in the previous 2015 call will continue their studies on Master and Doctoral Programs in European universities.
The next round of applications will take place between October 2016 and February 2017.

Background.
ERASMUS+ is the European Union Programme for 2014-2020 to support projects, partnerships, events and mobility in the areas of education, training, youth and sport.
Erasmus+ “Learning Mobility” for International Credit Mobility projects envisages cooperation between higher education institutions of Programme and Partner countries, such as Ukraine, for student and staff mobility based on interinstitutional agreements.
Erasmus Mundus Joint Master and PhD programmes are delivered by partnerships of higher education institutions from Erasmus+ Programme and Partner countries. Degree mobility programmes cover study in two countries minimum, at least, and lead to Master- or PhD-degree. Study duration is one to two years for Master programmes and three years for PhD programmes. Each year, applicants from all over the world are welcome to apply for study.
