International Vechornytsi festival (17.05.2024, online/offline)
On 17 May 2024, KROK University hosted the International Vechornytsi festival as part of the INTERADIS/International Students Integration and Adaptation project (619451-EPP-1-2020-1-NL-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP).
Vechornytsi are Ukrainian traditional festivities with music, songs, dances, etc. The main performers of the festival were international students from 8 Ukrainian partner universities. The international students amazed the audience with national songs, presentations, traditional dances and poems, presenting the cultures of their countries: Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Tunisia, China, India, Portugal, Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus – a real explosion of cultural diversity!
More than 120 participants and viewers visited KROK University, and about 20 people joined the online broadcasts of the event, including foreign students, INTERADIS project partners and other stakeholders.
The next day, the guests took part in the KROK Gathers Friends event, where they had the opportunity to visit various locations, including the University’s TV studio, innovation laboratory, master classes from leading University experts, workshops with stakeholders, and more.
In the afternoon, the participants of the International Vechornytsi had a tour of Kyiv, organised by ESN Kyiv, a partner of the University. The tour started from the most picturesque place in the centre of Kyiv – Khreshchatyk Street, through one of the oldest buildings in Eastern Europe, the symbol of Kyiv – the Golden Gate, passed Andriyivskyy Descent, which is one of the oldest roads connecting the Upper Town and its central part – Podil, and ended with a joint photo session.
