Erasmus+ presentation within forum “Youth and Governance: Partnership for the Development” (07-08.12.2018, Lviv)

On 7-8 December 2018 the International Conference “Youth and State: Partnership for Development” was held in Lviv, and became the first interdisciplinary and interinstitutional dialogue platform for six countries of the Eastern Partnership (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine).

The event was organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Ukraine, the European Commission, the Lviv Regional State Administration, the United Nations Development Program in Ukraine, the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum in Ukraine.

More than 130 participants (representatives of youth organizations and youth councils, youth centers, researchers in the field of youth, experts, youth workers, EU and EaP Government officials, international foundations and projects managers) attended the event.

Forum gathered together representatives of youth organizations and youth councils, youth centers, researchers in the field of youth, experts, youth workers, EU and EaP Government officials, international foundations and projects managers. The event was moderated by Maryna KORZH, member of the SALTO EECA RC EVS trainers pool, trainer and youth worker in the field of non-formal education working for local organizations in Belarus and international agencies. The meeting was started with the brief introduction of the topic of the conference by the moderator, which was followed then with the interactive presentations of the participants which was done in pairs.

In the framework of the Conference the issues of participation of young people in international and national legislative initiatives were considered; the real status of youth participation in the countries of the Eastern Partnership region and the possibility of youth participation without the legal preconditions; the preconditions for the development of cooperation Youth+ State in order to better shape strategic decisions and successful practices in Lithuania, Estonia, Germany, France and the Eastern Partnership countries.

The NEO-Ukraine Coordinator Svitlana SHYTIKOVA presented the opportunities for youth within the Erasmus+ to build and strengthen cooperation with public authorities. During the group work consultations were conducted. The awareness of more than 130 participants of the event on the possibilities of the EU Erasmus + program has been raised.
