International Contact Webinar: Supporting Ukraine in VET (20.11.2024, online)
On 20 November 2024 the International Contact Webinar: Supporting Ukraine in VET was organized.
Organisers of the event: National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine in cooperation with the European Education and Culture Executive Agency, National Erasmus+ Agencies, Ministry of the Education and Science of Ukraine, European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB), Folkuniversitetet (Sweden).
Considering the war in Ukraine and specific measures provided by the European Commission to Ukraine, the main aim of the Contact Webinar is to help Ukrainian VETIs to match the EU VET providers and find opportunities for cooperation. The webinar includes a general session on CBVET opportunities and four sessions by the VET areas with presentations of the project ideas by Ukrainian VET institutions and Cooperation Opportunities presentations by the EU VET providers.
Among 100 partcipants from Croatia, Czech republic, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey and Ukraine (Kyiv and 16 regions) joined the webinar.
Natalia ATAMANENKO, Head of the Expert Group on Governance and Public-Private Partnership of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine addressed the participants with a welcome speeches.
Pavol KREMPASKY, EACEA highlighted Tips&Hints for cooperation under CBVET Action.
Teodor GRASSOS shared the possibilities of cooperation with the European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB), as well as existing projects involving vocational education institutions from Ukraine.
Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, presented the results for Ukraine within the Erasmus+ VET actions calls.
The presentation of Kateryna PUGACHOVA, Folkuniversitetet (Sweden) was related to practical cases of cooperation projects with Ukrainian VETIs and recommendations for a successful project.
The second part of the event consisted of five sessions:
- Breakout room 1. Services fields (Cooking; Catering; Waiting service)
- Breakout room 2. Technical fields (Welding technologies)
- Breakout room 3. Motor vehicles (Vehicle repairing, Vehicle electrical systems); Transport services (Railway)
- Breakout room 4. Technical fields (Electricity and energy (Installation and maintenance of renewable energy systems); Construction (Environmentally friendly construction); Wood processing)
- Breakout room 5. Teachers & students support, Veterinary field
Within these sessions VET institutions from Ukraine and EU discussed project ideas and opportunities for cooperation.
