International Education Forum: Erasmus+ as a tool for Ukrainian universities to attract foreign students (10.04.2024)

On April 10, 2024, the NEO – Ukraine team  joined the International Education Forum, organized by the team of the Ukrainian State Center for International Education of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine.

Vectors of the Forum’s work:

  • innovations in legislation on admission and organization of the educational process for foreign students;
  • new scholarship opportunities for foreign students in Ukraine;
  • ensuring the quality of higher education in Ukraine;
  • statistics on foreign students studying in Ukraine during martial law;
  • best practices of internationalization of higher education and other issues of international education in Ukraine.

Over than 150 representatives of HEIs from different cities of Ukraine joined the event offline, including Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine. Speaker presented the opportunities of the EUs Erasmus+ Programme, key spheres and actions of the calls. During the presentation, attention was paid to opportunities as tools for attracting foreign students to Ukrainian universities within joint master’s programs and international academic (credit) mobility. The speaker presented in detail the state of higher education during martial law in Ukraine and emphasized the challenges to solve for further cooperation with European colleagues.
