International Partner Education Week (24-28.06.2019, Bamberg, Germany)
On 24-28 June 2019, the NEO-Ukraine representative joined the participants of the International Staff Week organized in the Otto-Friedrich University of Bamberg, Germany. Together with the Ukrainian Universities (Sumy State University, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Ukrainian Catholic University), the university staff from Serbia and Côte d’Ivoire also took part in the event.
The Week participants discussed the issues of incoming student mobilty (application, orientation, housing, transcripts), outgoing student mobility (application, selection, stipend accounting), Learning agreements and recognition, organization of international internships, organization of teacher and staff mobility, International Summer Schools while meeting with the representatives of the University of Bamberg International Relations Center, Bavarian Academic Center for Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe (BAYHOST), Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics and Business, Exchange Center for Teachers and University Staff.
Also, Ukrainian, Serbian and Côte d’Ivoire educators had the opportunity to delve into the organization of Erasmus + student admission processes, the functioning of the buddy system, the provision of courses aimed at adaptation of foreign students to the Bamberg community, organizing and providing organizational and academic support for foreign students, housing in Bamberg etc. Also, the Ukrainian representatives had a great chance to meet with their Universities’ students who were on the mobility in the Otto-Friedrich University of Bamberg and to hear firsthand about their personal impressions of how mobility schemes and human approaches operate effectively in the German University in cooperation with its partner HEIs.
