Kick-off meeting of the Erasmus+ CBHE DigiFLEd project (30.01.2024, online/offline)
On January 30, 2024, the National Erasmus+ office – Ukraine team participated in the kick-off meeting of the Erasmus+ CBHE DigiFLEd project (“The Modernisation of University Education Programmes in Foreign Languages by Integrating Information Technologies”), held at Tampere University.
The meeting brought together representatives from partner teams across Europe and Ukraine: Tampere University (Finland), Maynooth University (Ireland), University of Western Macedonia (Greece), V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Ivan Franko Zhytomyr State University, Volodymyr Hnatiuk Ternopil National Pedagogical University, V. O. Sukhomlynskyi Mykolaiv National University, Horlivka Institute for Foreign Languages of the State Higher Educational Institution “Donbas State Pedagogical University,” Oles Honchar Dnipro National University, and Vasyl’ Stus Donetsk National University, who presented their higher education institutions.
Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, coordinator of the National Erasmus+ office – Ukraine, delivered a welcome address, congratulating the team on their victory in the highly competitive selection process and expressing gratitude for the diligent work of the teams and the support of the partners during the challenging times of martial law in Ukraine. She also emphasised the main priorities during the project implementation, focusing on overcoming the challenges and consequences of the war, the modernity and innovativeness of the content, methodologies, resources, and results, as well as inclusivity and the use of digital and green technologies.
Project manager Viktoriia ZHUKOVSKA and Director of the Institute of Foreign Philology, Maryna POLKHOVSKA, represented Ivan Franko Zhytomyr State University and the project working group. They participated in discussions on the goals, objectives, expected results, work packages, main trends, challenges, and best practices in the digitalization of the foreign language education process.
Maryna SHKUROPAT presented our educational institution, the project working group, and outlined the areas of responsibility for the project participants. Other representatives of the Horlivka Institute for Foreign Languages of the State Higher Educational Institution “Donbas State Pedagogical University” joined the ceremonial opening of the event online. Their enthusiastic support was strongly felt even in Finland.
