Ministry of Youth and Sports together with partners develops the capacity of the domestic public sector for effective participation in the EU Erasmus+ Programme (19.06.2023, Kyiv)

On 19 June 2023, National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine organised an official meeting with Andrii CHESNOKOV, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports for European Integration and Luis ALVEIS, Head of the National Erasmus+ Agency in Portugal for Youth and Sports, as well as round table for 12 youth organisations discussing challenges and ideas for joined projects aimed at overcoming the consequences of martial law in the field of youth and sports.

Andrii CHESNOKOV highlighted agreement to expand Erasmus+ action opportunities for Ukrainian youth and sport organisations reached during a recent meeting between Vadym HUTTSAIT, Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, and Margaritis SCHINAS, Vice-President of the European Commission.

During the round table speakers presented Erasmus+ opportunities and actions open for Ukraine under the EUs Erasmus+ Programme. Participants discussed the importance of cooperation between youth organisations, local authorities and the Ministry to ensure the support and development of the youth and sports sector.

During the presentations, speakers and participants stressed different ideas and suggestions to organise joint projects aimed at supporting young people all over Ukraine and Ukrainians in Europe. 

The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine continues to maintain cooperation with partners from Europe and actively promote the implementation of projects aimed at developing the youth sector and sports in Ukraine.
