Multimedia class has been opened at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv within the EU Erasmus+ CBHE Project ECOIMPACT

EcoimpactOn 4 December 2019, opening of the Multimedia Class of the Department of Meteorology and Climatology of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv took place.

The class was created as a part of the EU Erasmus+ Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education Project 561975-EPP-1-2015-1-FI-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP “Adaptive Learning Environment for Competence in Economic and Societal Impacts of Local Weather, Air Quality and Climate”(“ ECOIMPACT ”).

The opening of the class was attended by students, professors and administrative staff of the Faculty of Geography and the University.

Oleksandr ROZHKO, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work (Prospective Development) of the University and Yaroslav OLIYNYK, Dean of the Faculty of Geography, welcomed the guests. Local manager of the ECOIMPACT project, Head of the Meteorology and Climatology Department Sergii SNIZHKO spoke about the main results of the project and about the appointment and functioning of the new multimedia class, installed equipment and features of its use.

In his speech, the manager of the National Erasmus+ office in Ukraine, Petro KRAINIK, spoke about the main aspects of the implementation of such international projects as the ECOIMPACT project, their importance for the target groups and the university as a whole, and explained the possibilities of the EU Erasmus+ program for students, teachers and staff and higher education institutions themselves, in particular in the KA1, KA2 and Jean Monnet activities, and answered questions.
