Participation within the Creative Spark Policy Forum (13.02.20, Kyiv)
On February 13, 2020 in Kyiv the British Council in Ukraine organised Creative Spark Policy Forum 2020 – Higher education and business competencies for creative industries. The main objective of the Forum is to become a platform for strategic approaches to the development of higher education competencies according the needs of the creative industries by Ukrainian institutions.
The forum was attended by representatives of ministries, agencies, programme offices and foundations involved in the development of higher education and the creative industries sector, Ukrainian and British higher education institutions etc.
Ukraine Creative Spark Policy Forum 2020 was the first event within the Creative Spark Programme to promote policy-making in the areas of business competence and higher education for the creative industries. The next events are planned in 2021 and 2022.
Key speaker of the event was Oleg SHAROV, Director General of the Directorate of Higher Education and Adult Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Member of Higher Education Reform Experts’ team (Erasmus+ HERE team), who provided presentation on “Key Players in State Policy Development competencies for creative industries in HE”. In addition, Oleg SHAROV moderated the second plenary discussion on the development of business competencies for creative industries in higher education.
The Forum was also joined by Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine. During the event, NEO – Ukraine Coordinator disseminated materials on Erasmus+ impact within Ukrainian HEIs for 2014-2019 and opportunities for UA and EU potential organisations within Erasmus+ Key Actions Call 2020.
