Webinar “Implementation of Microcredentials as a Response to the Challenges of European Integration and Post-war Recovery: Quality, Recognition, Digitalisation, Inclusion” – Cluster Event on Microcredentials (27.03.2025, online)

On March 27, 2025, the cluster event on microcredentials – the webinar “Implementation of Microcredentials as a Response to the Challenges of European Integration and Post-war Recovery: Quality, Recognition, Digitalisation, Inclusion” – took place. The event was organised by the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine and the National Higher Education Reform Experts of the EU Erasmus+ Programme, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the National Qualifications Agency.

AGENDA

More than 60 participants attended the event, including representatives of Erasmus+ projects, higher education institutions, research institutions, VETs, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MESU), and the National Qualifications Agency.

The event was opened with welcoming remarks by Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, and Oleg SHAROV, Director General of the Directorate of Higher Education and Professional Pre-Higher Education, Member of Erasmus+ HERE team.

Oleg SHAROV presented the current national policy on the development and recognition of non-formal education outcomes in higher and professional pre-tertiary education in the context of European integration. He also addressed questions on the development of the legislative framework, particularly the draft Law of Ukraine “On the National Qualifications System,” which is currently under discussion in the Committee on Education, Science and Innovation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Conceptual issues of developing and recognising microcredentials at the national level and best practices for designing high-quality and accessible microcredentials were presented by Yuriy RASHKEVYCH, member of the National Qualifications Agency, professor at Lviv Polytechnic National University, and Head of the National Team of Higher Education Reform Experts of the Erasmus+ Programme. He also highlighted the results of the Erasmus+ Capacity Building for Vocational Education and Training (CBVET) project “Beyond Europe with Microcredentials” (BEM, 2022-2025) and drew attention to the latest European Higher Education Area documents, including:
