Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, NEO – Ukraine Coordinator, congratulated the team on success in a tough competition and thanked for their hard work, support of partners during the difficult time of challenges and consequences of martial law in Ukraine.
She emphasized on the main priorities during the project implementation with a focus on overcoming the challenges and consequences of war; importance of modern and innovative content, methodologies, resources and results, as well as inclusiveness and the use of digital and green technologies.
Ms. Shytikova highlighted that Erasmus+ is a valuable instrument for the preparation stage of Ukraine to the EU membership, to support implementation of reforms in higher education and to strengthen internationalisation of Ukrainian universities.
Svitlana Shytikova marked that the European Commission has been providing a strong support to Ukraine via Erasmus+ from the 1st days of brutal invasion of Russian Federation into Ukraine by special measures, flexibility, digital tools, open educational courses and resources, access to the professional networks. Moreover, the European Commission provided additional budget for calls with the focus on Ukraine under Cooperation Partnerships and opened new opportunities for Ukrainian organisations as associated partners. Thus it is important to ensure the complementarity between different actions under Erasmus+.
Special attention to the access to the virtual laboratories and open resources and courses of the international partners have become critical to help Ukrainian universities to cope with the challenges of martial law and ensure the possibility for students to continue their study at high quality and to obtain practical skills.
The coordinator, drew attention to the Telegram chat and a special page on the NEO web portal for the constant support to the project teams during martial law to cope with all challenges and to inform about the situation in Ukraine, exchange of experience and interproject cooperation: Ukrainian and in English languages.
A special webpage for project beneficiaries at NEO website contains useful resources, translations, templates and other practical information (in Ukrainian and English languages). Methodological Guide for Ukrainian project beneficiaries is prepared in Ukrainian language and for project coordinators and partners from Programme Countries – in English language.
The experience and resources of the project partners from the EU Member States and those developed by the National Team of Higher Education Reform Experts should be used to ensure the quality of project results, especially those that include the development of new or modernisation of existing educational programs or individual courses/modules, as well as others related to the implementation of Bologna Process tools (Library).
Moreover, the coordinator communicated significant role of active dissemination of information about project activities and results and the possibility to publish such information on a special NEO web portal webpage for Project News (in English and Ukrainian languages) as well as on the Internet resources of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The project database page contains information about all Ukrainian projects funded by the EU in education, youth and sport, so it is also a useful resource for inter-project cooperation and synergy (in Ukrainian and English languages). The NEO team in Ukraine is preparing a series of cluster seminars with the participation of project teams to monitor and present project results and exchange experience between teams. Project teams will receive this information later.
