23 Ukrainians won scholarships for Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters degrees
Totally 23 Ukrainians as winners of the 2023 сall will study at Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters at universities in Europe and worldwide within European Union Erasmus+ Programme. Study in Europe has become possible for 21 young women and 2 young men from Dnipro, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Lviv, Sumy, Ternopil with the financial support of the EU’s Erasmus+ Programme.
The students from Ukraine will start Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters this autumn at the leading universities of Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Italy, Portugal, Sweden, United Kingdom. The main subject areas of the students’ choice are: E-governance, European Politics and Society; Urban Studies; Central and East European, Russian and Eurasian Studies; Global Security, Peace and Development; Astrophysics and Space Science; Particle Physics and Analytical Chemistry; Cloud Computing and Chemoinformatics; Research and Innovation in Higher Education; Central and East European, Russian and Eurasian Studies; Dance Knowledge, Film Creativity and Heritage.
Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters are unique master courses developed by a consortium of a minimum of two European universities which provide grants that fully cover the study programme, travel cost, insurance, visa support, scholarship of EUR 1 000 per month, etc. In addition to their main curricula, students will be enrolled at language courses, learn about the countries of their stay, discover and enjoy new culture together with groupmates from around the world.
A total of 381 Ukrainian students have won Erasmus Mundus scholarships since 2014, including 367 Master’s and 14 PhD’s students. They are considered to act as ‘ambassadors’, promote and support Ukraine in Europe and will contribute to Ukraine’s development, modernisation and reforms.
