Summer school for school education teachers “European quality of education for better student success” (26.06 – 07.07.2023, online/offline)
26 June – 7 July 2023, the Summer School “European quality of education for better student success” was held in Kyiv and online. The summer school for school education teachers was organised by the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine within the framework of the EU Erasmus+ Programme, Jean Monnet project.
The event was attended by 67 participants – school teachers from different regions of Ukraine.
Summer school is a professional development program for teachers in the field of school education. The purpose of the Program is to use the experience of European Union member states that are leaders in PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) to improve the performance of Ukrainian schoolchildren. The scope and duration of the Program – 90 hours/ 3 ECTS credits. Form of education: remote, synchronous and asynchronous components. Training is provided in three groups of 20-25 people. Facilitators and trainers are leading specialists of the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine. About the project at etest.org.ua.
The manager of the Jean Monnet Actions of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, Petro KRAINIK gave a presentation on “Jean Monnet Actions of the EU Programme Erasmus+ in Ukraine” and talked about the opportunities for teachers in the field of school education in the EU Erasmus+ Programme.
The participants received information about opportunities for universities and schools of Ukraine within the Jean Monnet Actions and about the opportunities of the EU Erasmus+ Programme, as well as recommendations for preparing applications and submitting them for participation in the Program Calls for proposals, regarding the participation of school teachers in the Erasmus+ Programme.
