Seminar for projects teams at Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology (3.05.2024, Dnipro)
3.05.2024. NEO Ukraine had visited Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology which was established on the basis of the Dnipro National University of Railway Transport named after Academician V. Lazaryan and the National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine. It became the legal successor and actively participated in the implementation of the projects of the EU Erasmus+ Program.
During the visit, Ms. Shytikova held meetings with the leadership of the University: Acting Rector Professor Konstantin SUHYM, Acting Director of the Dnipro State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Professor Vladyslav DANISHEVSKYI, representatives of the international office and seminar for teams of Erasmus+ projects.
The focus of the meeting was:
- Priority areas of the Erasmus+ program: discussion of the strategy for the development of cooperation between USUNT and the program, identification of priority areas and opportunities for participation in international projects.
- Challenges and ways to overcome them: joint analysis of the problems faced by the management and participants of the Erasmus+ program, search for effective solutions and improvement of procedures.
- Raising awareness and motivation: discussing measures to inform students, postgraduates and teachers about the opportunities of the Erasmus+ program, stimulating their participation in international project activities.
- Synergy and teamwork: emphasis on the importance of cooperation between USUNT and other universities in Ukraine for the successful implementation of Erasmus+ projects.
Svitlana SHYTIKOVA emphasized:
- The importance of partner support: “Working in synergy with other universities in Ukraine is simply invaluable.”
- The need for effective communication: “It is important that information about the Erasmus+ program is accessible and understandable to all potential participants.”
- Readiness of the National Erasmus+ Office to cooperate: “We are always open to dialogue and ready to help universities in the implementation of their international projects.”
During the seminar, they also discussed the specifics of project implementation, key steps to change the name of the institution and the features of succession. During the discussions, solutions to key challenges during martial law were found. The teams of current projects shared the best practices and successful practices of the projects.
The visit of Svitlana SHYTIKOVA became a landmark event for USUNT. The meeting provided an opportunity for the University to deepen the understanding of the Erasmus+ program and examples of solutions to challenges during martial law, to establish closer cooperation with the National Erasmus+ Office and to develop a strategy for the further development of international project activities. About 20 people joined seminar online and onsite.
We are confident that thanks to joint efforts, UDUNT will be able to reach new heights in international cooperation and implement ambitious educational projects under the Erasmus+ program!
